According to a Mumbai Mirror report, Deepika Padukone is charging a hefty amount of 12 Cr. for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati.

According to Mumbai Mirror’s claims, they have also seen a mail exchange that contained details of the contract. If these reports are to be believed, then Deepika Padukone will become the first actress to get more than 10 crores as a remuneration for a movie.

However, earlier it was also reported in 2015 that Kangana Ranaut has charged whopping 11 Cr. for an untitled movie. But, lately, Kangana Ranaut denied these rumors.

Padmavati is a much hyped and talked about movie in tinsel town based on the historical background. The movie stars Deepika Padukone along with her Ramleela and Bajirao male co-star Ranveer Singh.

However, the hunt for another actor is still on who will suppose to play the role of Padmavati husband. Earlier, it was rumored that Masaan fame Vicky Kaushal would play Deepika’s husband role in the movie.

According to reports, the actress was reluctant to share screen space with a newcomer and want an established star to play her husband.

According to sources, either Shahid Kapoor or Pakistani charmer Fawad Khan who appeared in Kapoor & Sons this year will be seen playing this role.

But, nothing has been finalized yet, let’s see who will get an opportunity to romance Deepika Padukone on screen.
