Amid the rising cases in Punjab and across the country, it was being speculated that this lockdown will be extended by the Government of Punjab. And today, the Government of Punjab has decided to extend the curfew till the 17th of May. Therefore, now after the 3rd of May, the citizens of Punjab shall remain inside their homes for the next 14 days.
This decision has been taken by the Punjab Government after talking to experts. It was expected after a sudden rise in the number of positive cases in Punjab after people have returned from Maharashtra found positive.
However, this time Government has given 4 hours of relaxation in the Curfew to help people run their offices and do the important chores. The four-hour relaxation will be given between 7 Am to 11 AM. This decision has been taken to run industries in the State to run the wheel of the economy.
